Easily some of the coolest images I've seen in a while. We have yet to get one of these new high-res CT scanners, however most of our scanners (CT/MRI) can do vascular reconstructions as seen in these images. Its always fascinating to look at. Science is cool.

I conducted a study for my bachelor's thesis using a nano-CT scanner on core samples from hydrocarbon reservoirs. So that means I got the chance to put random shit is a state of the art industrial nano CT scanner. It was epic... The amount of detail is crazy, and it's all viewable in 3D thanks to Volume Graphics.
BaconSandwich is tasty.

That's pretty cool.
I did a bit of work with some voxel data for my thesis. One of the data sets I played with was a scan of a human foot. There's some super-amazing algorithms out there for rending CT data. There was one presentation in particular I came across from SIGGRAPH that blew my mind. I should see if I can dig up the link to it.
